Tsavorite garnet — a vibrant, verdant variety of grossular garnet — is prized for its intense, lively green that rivals emeralds while offering greater brilliance and durability. Discovered in the 1960s in East Africa, tsavorite’s color comes from trace amounts of vanadium and chromium.
