Jan Daggett 14k Tsavorite Garnet Ring

Jan Daggett 14k Tsavorite Garnet Ring
14kt yellow gold ring featuring a round tsavorite garnet (.55ct) with an accent diamond (.03ct). Designed by Jan Daggett. Ring size 6.5.
Tsavorite garnet — a vibrant, verdant variety of grossular garnet — is prized for its intense, lively green that rivals emeralds while offering greater brilliance and durability. Discovered in the 1960s in East Africa, tsavorite’s color comes from trace amounts of vanadium and chromium. Stones range from light, leaf-green to deep, saturated bottle-green; the clearest, most richly colored examples command the highest value. Tsavorite typically displays excellent brilliance due to its high refractive index and strong dispersion, making faceted gems sparkle even in modest carat weights. Hard and durable (Mohs 6.5–7.5), it’s well suited to everyday jewelry like rings and pendants. Because significant deposits are limited, fine tsavorite is relatively rare — a compelling choice for collectors and those seeking a lively, natural green with exceptional fire and clarity.
