Fondly called “rainbow” pyrite, this form of pyrite drusy comes from the Volga River, Russia. Aproximately 3.25” * 3” * 2.5”

This rainbow rock’s iridescent cluster of crystals are at the center of some lucky rocks. The name “pyrite” comes from a Greek origin “pyr” which means fire because of the brilliant colors that shimmer and can appear to change caused by differential refraction and diffraction of light. Pyrite is an opaque iron sulphide.
